Newbie Glossary!!

Inventory control

The next thing I will go over is inventory orginzation. Having a good orginized inventory will help you find your items alot quicker. But first for those who do not know let me tell you how to make folders since we will be making alot of them.
First open your inventory by clicking the little suitcase icon. Once you do that on the top where it says "My inventory" you want to right click and select "New Folder". Now you have a new folder that you can name. Below I will give you a list of the folders and sub folders that I have right now in my inventory to show you what folders I have including the sub catergories
-AO (short for Animation override)
-Accessories
-Clothing
  -biker outfits
  -burlesque
  -costumes
  -dresses
   -ballgowns
   -cocktail dresses
   -power dresses
   -summer dresses
   -winter dresses
  -Fave outfits (these are for the ones that I love and wear often)

These folders seem to work well for me. There might be a folder that I don't have that you want to add or take away. But at least this way it gives you a great starting point. Have fun!!

Since it's really hard to find a fresh off the line newbie I deicded to start up a newbie of my own to try out what these designers have to offer for newbies. I will also provide places where I think that offers good freebies for anyone.
First I will start with JStyle. They offer a free Ao for both men and women and offer lots of great skins, shapes, and outfits. Many of then are free and the others are around 60L. I decided to show you all what I got from JStyle.


So here is the before picture. I do have to say the options for avatars is alot more than when I started 4 years ago (lucky noobs).

But the main question is this...How do I put on these new clothes? It's simple. First click on the suitcase that is your inventory. You will be able to view all the items that are in your inventory. Once you have found the item that you wish to put on right click the item and select wear. If you see something is still on you that you wish to take off. In your inventory locate where it says "Current outfit" and take off the item you wish to remove. What I do is on the top it has a way to search your inventory and I type in "worn" when I do that I can locate the file to what I am wearing and right click again to take off or detach.
